This is the desk used by many solicitor’s clerk by the law firm during 18th century, circa from 1860 – 1910, Clerk desk was made in the Georgian period of about 1800 from solid mahogany. It is a good quality standing clerk’s desk. It also had many drawers which was probably useful for storing the work in hand
