Mid Century Modern Style

Recently we had the opportunity to create a custom dining table and dining chairs inspired by mid century modern design.

We built a round glass top dining table with a lazy susan and a star shaped wooden base. The dining chairs are reproductions of Kai Kristiansen's model 42 'Z' chair.

Picking out colours: bronze glass for the the dining top and beige fabric for the dining chairs

The star shaped wooden base before it gets painted

Building the classic 'Z' shaped frames for the dining chairs

Both the base and the frames painted in a dark wood finish

Vintage Salonola Gramophone

This Salonola gramophone is a unique piece of musical furniture.

The cabinet style gramophone became popular in the early 20th century. Disguised as a household item, the cabinet gramophone could easily fit in with the decor of a sitting or drawing room.

This lovely Salonola is still in good working condition.
